Handing Down History Through Family Heirlooms
June to August 2009
“Creative Keepsakes: Handing down History through Family Heirlooms,” explores the many ways in which families creatively collect and maintain domestic articles and memories for future generations.
This season, we’ll meet for workshops amidst the salvaged architectural heirlooms at Art and Architecture to explore timeless techniques that save dollars and stretch the family budget. Presenters will offer a new twist on these methods, which are rooted in the domestic traditions of “Minnesota’s Greatest Generation,” those remarkable individuals who came of age during World War II .
