Staff will search for one bridal couple in one county per request. Marriage records are kept by the county. We have been able to acquire them for about 15 counties. To see which counties and years of records are available, click the County box below.

Requesters have the option of borrowing microfilm of the marriage records through Inter-library loan to do your own research if you wish.

Research Prices

  • Minnesota residents: $12
  • Non-Minnesota residents: $15

    Members receive a 10% discount which is applied during Checkout.

    Guide to Providing Information For Your Request

  • Date of Marriage*: Provide the marriage date in mm/dd/yyyy format.
  • Groom*: Provide the groom's full name
  • Bride : Provide the brides's full maiden name. This information is not required.
  • County*: Choose the county where the marriage took place. Please note, we do not have all counties.

    If you cannot provide all of the required fields, an in-depth request is available for $15 per half hour. Please send an e-mail request to reference@mnhs.org.
