This packet gives teachers ideas and models for implementing the History Day program in their classroom.

The package includes the following “ready-to-copy” guides, along with a disk containing each file.

“Teacher Handbook to Minnesota History Day”

History Day teachers developed this 35-page guide to help implement the program in their classrooms. It includes numerous student handouts and is packaged in a loose-leaf format for easy duplication and binding.

“One Day Wonders!” (Classroom Skill-Building Activities)

This companion piece to the Teacher Handbook contains eight lessons on the use of historical sources. Each lesson includes a teacher’s guide and reproducible student handouts. One or more of the lessons can be completed in a single class period.
