Winter Carnival Quilt Jigsaw Puzzle
$ 14.95
A 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle based on a photographic reproduction of a St. Paul Winter Carnival Quilt made between 1886 - 1891.
The quilt was made by Mrs. Waller of Chicago, Illinois, between 1886 and 1891. Although Mrs. Waller never lived in Minnesota, she visited friends in St. Paul during the city's first Winter Carnival. She was inspired by the festival and the Ice Castle became the centerpiece of this quilt. The 60-by-72 inch quilt is made of silk, velvet, beads, sequins, leather and ceramic dolls.
The St. Paul Winter Carnival Quilt is in the permanent collections of the Minnesota Historical Society.
