Dancing Women Gourd
This gourd features a design of a group of eight shawl dancing women holding flowers. The back side perspective, vibrant color hues and use of patterning makes this gourd come alive in a very dynamic way.

Sue Zimmerman is an enrolled member of the Grand Portage band of Ojibwe and currently lives in Sandstone, MN. Her technique used to create these fine gourd art pieces is quite remarkable. She first dries and then cuts her own home gown gourds. Then, she hand draws and paints each gourd with its own unique "one of a kind" design. Sue does not make very many gourds each year, so we are very lucky to be able to show and share her wonderful creations.
