The Lives and Work of the Men and Woman Who Built the Minnesota State Capitol Building

Who Built Our Capitol reveals the untold story of the workers and contractors who constructed the Minnesota statehouse from 1896 to 1907. The program portrays not only tradespeople, but railroad, quarry and other workers from across the state and nation. The project team - Randy Croce, Dan Ganley, Dave Riehle, John Sielaff and Victoria Woodcock - combed through historical documents and went to locations across Minnesota and Georgia. They uncovered the names of hundreds of the original builders and traced many of their descendants. These living family members, as well as historians and people involved in the restoration of the building, are highlighted in this program. The soundtrack features specially recorded music of the period. For more detailed information visit the website, www.whobuiltourcapitol.org
