MNHS Press Cookbook Collection

Whether it involves planting herbs in a garden, bringing hot dish to a gathering, or grabbing a sandwich at a local restaurant, food crosses borders. Our relationship with food is both individual and shared; it has a history and a practice. It speaks to community and culture.

For decades, the Minnesota Historical Society Press has published books that celebrate food, sharing recipes as well as the stories behind them. Our cookbooks and culinary nonfiction portray charismatic chefs, offer practical tips from dedicated foodies, and preserve and present traditions from every corner of the state and beyond. Sample some delicious photographs and delectable writing—you will find something to your taste!
