Better known as the Silver Shirts, the Silver Legion was one of a number of pro-Nazi, isolationist, anti-Semitic organizations that had a heyday in the 1930s. Minnesota’s small Jewish population was quick to perceive the threat and worked to combat the Silver Shirts through formal and informal measures.
